Spreading the word
'The lord gave the word: great was the company of them that published it'(Ps.68:11) The publicity towards Success Motivation was carried out extensively all around the campus and its environs. News about the program filled the environment several weeks ahead causing everyone to look forward with great expectation towards that day. The brethren, members of BLW OAU, were highly motivated to reach out to fellow students and invite them using publicity fliers. Also several publicity banners were put up around the campus loudly announcing the event.
You are the solution your world needs!
These were Pastor Afolabi's key words as he came up to minister to the expectant crowd of many hundreds of students that beautiful Sunday morning. He motivated them to be bold to declare what the word says about them and their world. Sharing from 3John:2, Pastor Afolabi expounded God's desire for every young person- to live a life of total prosperity, victory and health which translates to success. He added that God had planned this ahead of time before the foundations of the earth and he specially chose for them to be on their side of the planet, pointing to the fact that he saw them able to achieve success even in the seemingly non-favourable atmosphere in Nigeria. He quelled the general mindset of many of the students who thought that to achieve success, they had to seek 'greener pastures' in foreign nations after graduation. He encouraged them not to be negatively programmed but to stay their minds on God's word and therefore enjoy peace peace- (meaning peace with prosperity and completeness) as God promised in Is 26:3.
Pastor Afolabi ended the glorious meeting with these words- let your life be a message for other people to follow. Don't be a collector, be a giver! The congregation expressed their faith in the words they had received by joyfully declaring God's words concerning their lives and their future as they left the arena.
Till date, many of the attendees still speak about the impact of God's word they received during the program.
The 22nd of March 2009 was one day God visited me through Pastor Afolabi Oketunji. After the message, I discovered much more how powerful my words are! Pastor made me know that I unconsciously empower other people (class colleagues) through my words. More so, I have become more confident about my academics and future as Pastor inspired me through the Word that my success is sure. Halleluyah!

During the program, Pastor really motivated me for a more successful life; I've learnt to unleash the greatness that has been deposited in my spirit by the word of God, now I look forward with confidence, knowing that I can face the future because it has been settled. Halleluyah!
