For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
hath shined in our hearts… (2Corinthians 4:6)

     The scripture above didn’t say, “God commanded the darkness to become light” or that “God brought light into the darkness to remove the darkness”, both of which would have been wonderful. But what God did, shows us His power and His greatness – He commanded the light to come out of the midst of the darkness. We know that darkness and light are incompatible, yet God commanded light to shine forth from the darkness and according to the scriptures, this same God has Himself shined in our hearts!  
            This means He has brought within us the same ability to cause light to shine out of any dark situation. So as a Christian, there can be no disadvantages for you. The power to cause something positive to come out of any negative situation resides in you. Let me illustrate it like this: imagine a Christian has been diagnosed with cancer, or diabetes. To him, that cancer and diabetes is the darkness he’s facing, and the light he desires to see is his healing, and God is saying he can produce healing out of that cancer or diabetes! He can call forth his healing.
            No matter what darkness may be facing you today, you can command light to come out of it. If it’s sickness or pain in your body, place your hand on that part of your body and call forth healing. If it’s with your finances, call forth prosperity!
