HIGHLIGHTS …The Delegate Youth Conference With Pastor Chris 2010

The chronos and kairos had come together in God’s calendar to fall on the 13th and 14th of February 2010. It had all been DIVINELY pre-arranged. The Man of God and Prophet to this generation, Rev. Chris Oyakhilome was going to be in town to meet with young delegates from all across Africa. Understanding the intent of God’s Spirit for the conference, we set to work with relentless and tireless passion. From rendering heartfelt prayers to individual invitation, to distribution of fliers to printing of delegate badges, we availed ourselves of every opportunity to herald the glorious news. Thousands of delegates were soon registered online for the conference from several nations across the African Continent, from Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Togo, Ghana, Benin Republic, and from all over the host nation, Nigeria; and even beyond, from Australia, Ireland and Malaysia.

Each effort applied, drew us closer to the birth of one dream, the dream which raced our pulses, the dream which put a spring to our footsteps, that which put a smile to our faces and caused a stirring in our sleep, the dream of “THE DELEGATE YOUTH CONFERENCE WITH PASTOR CHRIS” was about to become a pleasant reality. It was going to be a unique conference, one strategically designed by God’s Spirit to set the youth of this generation on course to change the world; one with promise for this day and greater glory for the future of the nations. Like the ticking of a clock which chimes in its full hour, we counted down days.

As the day dawned on that faithful Friday, the 13th of February 2010, all routes led to the set venue, “THE LOVEWORLD CONVOCATION ARENA IN LAGOS NIGERIA”. The heavens graced us with a bright and fair weather; even the elements were geared in expectation for this epochal event, as excited delegates who had traveled from far and near arrived in their convoy. The voices of the young talented music ministers stirred the atmosphere amidst spirit-inspired praise and worship, and the chit-chatter of elated young people filled the air all over the arena. One got the feeling as it were of being in the right place at the right time.

The meeting was kicked off with an insightful opening exhortation by Rev. Ray Okocha, the Secretary General, Believers’ LoveWorld Inc., which helped position the spirits of all in the arena to receive from God. A most excited crowd of youth present in the arena cheered and applauded as Pastor Afolabi Oketunji, the Director of Campus Ministry, Believers’ LoveWorld Inc, challenged them in his welcome address, to seize the moment and make the most of the opportunity afforded them to participate in such a historic and timely conference.
